In feng shui mirror placement is very important. If its done correctly the power of mirrors symbolically double your wealth, health and happiness. However when the feng shui mirror placement is not correct it can do a lot of harm. The million dollar question you must ask yourself is " What does my mirror reflect?"
Anything your mirror reflects it will double that.
To have a good feng shui mirror placement there are 10 things your mirror shouldnot never reflect.
Does your front door open to a small foyer?
If so, it most likely has a wall opposite the front door, and this blocks energy flow. When the inside foyer space is too small you can use a mirror to visually enlarge the foyer space. Position it so that it doesn’t directly face the door. Putting an attractive mirror at the entry way is a gracious way to welcome in the chi.
Just make sure it is not placed directly across from the front door or it will send the chi (often interpreted as money) right back out!
The only reason a mirror behind the kitchen stove is recommended by some feng shui consultants is for a cook to be able to see what is happening behind his or her back. So, if you do not cook with your back to the door, then there is no need to worry about it.
The best feng shui solution in this case is to find kitchen - appropriate items with a highly reflective surface and place them so that they give you a view of the kitchen door while you are cooking. Just make sure nothing is reflecting the flames in the kitchen. It could be a window glass or mirrored tiles.
Don't have mirror tiled kitchen that will reflect the flames. Mirror symbolise water. And water clashes with fire. So its best to keep mirrors out of kitchen.
It is not advisable to have mirrors in the bathroom. However if you feel its nessescary. Keep it covered. The mirror should never reflect the toilet.
A mirror outside the bathroom door is considered good as the mirror pushes the energy away from entering the bathroom, thus the energy is prevented from going down the drain, so to speak.
Place a mirror on the outside of your bathroom door for the Chi to move to other rooms. Use a big one.
According to feng shui, if you spend sleepless nights then you can blame the mirror in your bedroom . The Mirror could be bouncing energy in the bedroom, and keeping you awake, restless and full of worries.
Avoid mirror next to the bed or on the wall above the bed.
If you can see your reflection in the mirror while lying down on the bed it will bring a third person in your relationship.
But is it realistic to have a bedroom without a mirror? Many people, and I include myself in this, like to check their appearance before they face the world. Luckily, you do not have to give up all of your mirrors. Simply place full-length mirrors on the inside of closet doors (which can be shut when not needed)
Mirrors are best placed in the living and dining areas. Mirror reflecting the food on dining table doubles the food which symbolises abundance and wealth. Just make sure the mirror does not reflect the entrance or any other door and window.
Anything your mirror reflects it will double.
So be sure the mirror is not reflecting dirty drains, or pile of clutter or sharp edges of walls or furnitures. If the wall mirror also reflect pleasant views from outdoors either a river or healthy growing plants or rolling hills - that suggest a vast expanse of pure energy.
Views of trees bring in growth energy while views of scenic mountains bring great relationship. Views of water bring prosperity!
Watch out for poison arrows that the mirror could be reflecting. It could be the sharp corner of a wall or pillar or an L shapped arrangement. Its best to have furnitures with rounded corners.
MIRROR CAN MAKE YOUR SQUARE PILLAR DISAPEAR
If you have a square pillar in your living room then its sending out killing energies or poison arrows to your loved ones. So when you frame mirror on all four sides of the pillar the pillar disappears. Just make sure the mirrors on the pillars doesnot reflect doors or windows or clutter. Also make sure the mirror doesnot reflect another mirror or reflective surface of windows or tv screen
DARK SPACES OR CORNERS
If you have a room with a dark area you can hang a mirror to reflect and bring in more light. The mirror creates the illusion of a window and that stimulates the ch’i energy as well. (Darkness is equated with stagnant ch’i.)
A mirror placed at the bottom of the stairs will cut off the feet or head; avoid placing here. If the mirror reflects your image without your head then it impacts your self esteem. You must place your mirror at a height where you dont have to bend to see your image in the mirror.
The south corner has fire energy. And the mirror has water energy. So placing mirror on the south extinguishes the fire energy in your home or living room. This will extinguish the fame luck of the south corner and bring a bad name to you. Also it might give heated arguments or accidents or bad luck due to the clash of fire and water.
Please go easy with ceiling mirrors. Its better to be safe than sorry. Mirrored tiles are not good feng shui. It reflects your distorted, fragemented image. Anything that does that must be avoided.
DON’T place a mirror where it will harm or send cutting energy. This is true of placing a mirror at the end of the hallway, which symbolically says “stay away” and draws negative energy.
For a good feng shui mirror placement the mirrors must not be broken or kept unclean. They should be sparkling and full of life. Avoid hanging antique mirrors, broken mirrors, unframed mirrors, pa kua. Also remember that Mirrors should always be hung flat against a wall instead of leaning forward.
